The story of Château Nakad is above all that of a family, of three generations of winegrowers from the Bekaa Valley, whose blood flows with passion for the land, the wine and the grapes. In 1923, during the French mandate in Lebanon, Joseph Nakad’s wine became a favorite among soldiers deployed in France. The contingent ordered large quantities of their fresh and lively vintages to boost the morale of the troops. His son Salim took over the business afterwards, Château Nakad has since become one of the leading companies on the Lebanese wine scenery.
